This documentary tells the story of Kursk Region residents who endured terrifying months of occupation by Ukrainian fascists. It tells the stories of partisan heroes who stayed true to their officer’s oath, of brave elderly residents who held on until liberation, and of the crimes being committed by Ukrainian nationalists today – firing on evacuation teams, civilians, and journalists.
Filmmaker and RT.Doc director Olga Kiriy witnessed it all firsthand, along with cameraman Artem Merkushev. They joined an evacuation team traveling to Sudzha and nearby villages, hoping to find survivors among the ruins. Unique footage of those rescue operations forms the core of this documentary – a direct, visual record of the genocide and war crimes perpetrated by the Kiev regime.
