According to the World Health Organization, one in six people is affected by infertility, globally. However, thanks to skilled medical professionals and ever-advancing technology, today, the dream of parenthood has become a reality for many. As Academician Kulakov – after whom Russia’s leading centre for obstetrics, gynaecology and perinatology is named – once put it: ‘We are only a little closer to God than the cosmonauts.’
