In 1949, Japan's Kwantung Army faced trial in Khabarovsk during World War II. All of the members were employees of the secret «Unit 731», working on the creation of the deadliest biological weapons in the world. The film tells about the monstrous experiments that were carried out on living people in Japanese concentration camps — from injections of plague and anthrax, to operations without anesthesia and unimaginable torture. The film also touches upon the problem of developing bacteriological weapons in general.
