Some 46,000 people are currently registered as unhoused in LA, according to recent data from the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority. That’s quite a sharp rise of 10%, compared to 2022 numbers. Angelo was once a Harvard student, but is barely surviving in a muddy homeless camp. The lack of affordable housing, combined with inadequate policies to address the issue, has left thousands of people vulnerable. The problem is real in many states of America.
