The Bosnian war took place right in the heart of Europe at the end of the 20th century. It’s been less than 50 years since the end of World War II and once again, people are being killed because of their religion and ethnicity. A horrible bloodbath occurred in Sarajevo. It was the centre of an intense conflict between Bosnian Muslims and Orthodox Serbs. More than 100,000 people died, and several hundred thousand others were displaced as a result of the hostilities. What made this war significant was the religious component. Subsequently, Mujahideen from many Arab countries came to the aid of the Bosnian Muslims.
