Alexey Balakirev started his career in television in the mid-1990s, right after finishing school, when he joined a local TV channel. Since then, he has gained extensive practical experience, graduated from Krasnodar State University of Culture, studied under documentary filmmaking experts, and completed a professional development course at GITR. He has worked with TV networks such as RenTV, VGTRK, and NTV.In 2023, Alexey joined the RT Documentary team as a cameraman. Despite being with the team for a relatively short time, he has worked on a number of projects, some of which have been recognized at prestigious film festivals: 'Hero Wives', 'Mali: Au Revoir, France', 'Marriage Scammer: Till Cash Do Us Part', 'Man of Iron', 'Yakuts at War' and others.
