User data ends up at the tech companies’ disposal. Phones and social media know everything about a person. Users keep letting platforms access their privacy in exchange for more utility. In the meantime, many of us hardly ever read the terms of privacy policy. For instance, the «darkweb» has much more illegal information and it is totally unregulated. Since there is no regulation, weapons, contract hits, drugs are sold there. We could leave everything behind and disconnect from the web.
