Movies often show hackers as computer geniuses who crack databases by typing green code on a black screen. However, the depiction is too romanticized. In reality, their criminal activities are way more twisted and sophisticated. There are two types of hackers: ethical and unethical. Unethical cybercriminals do everything for their personal gain, breaking into systems to acquire money. Ethical hackers, or pentesters, are using the same methods as malicious hackers. With the exception that they try to find vulnerabilities to strengthen security systems. Which side would you choose? After all, it is believed that once a hacker – always a hacker.
