Earth is a planet composed mostly of water, and our daily lives would be impossible to imagine without it. For millennia, the planet’s enormous water resources were more than enough to support us. This began to change in the mid-20th century. With the growing population around the globe the demand for water has been rising. The pressure on the water resources has increased dramatically on the planet. Some areas suffer from extreme water shortages, while others are at the risk of flooding. The only way to relieve the current water crisis is on a global scale, but some developed countries are reluctant to take any meaningful steps.
