For most of her life, Faina has lived in a war zone. At six, she knew all about artillery shelling and airstrikes. By the age of ten, she was writing plays, poems, and stories. A documentary by filmmaker, Klim Poplavsky tells this talented girl’s story. At thirteen, Faina co-authored a fantasy novel about the children of Donbass under Ukrainian shelling that has now been translated into multiple languages and published in Europe. In October, 2021, Faina was put on the Mirotvorets website's 'death list'. It targets anyone who openly expresses less complimentary views about the Kiev regime.
The list features the names of people of various ages and nationalities, including 327 underaged children. Faina made the list because of her talent and her boldness in directing tough questions to prominent figures like the UN Secretary-General, the French President, and the Pope. Watch the documentary for more on Faina's story.
