The latest guest on ‘The Sanchez Effect’ is Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who discussed Belarus-US relations, Western policies, and the conflict in Ukraine during a meeting in Minsk.
The ‘mad adventure in Iran’ has proven that the US is a superpower but not an all-powerful force, the president asserts. He says Washington understands this, which offers hope that America will finally start taking into account the interests of other countries. Alexander Lukashenko pointed out: «Russia is a huge territory. They will achieve nothing with their missiles,» adding that China possesses «so much power, US could never cope with it.» He went on to say, if the United States stops dictating its terms to others, «a bright future is not far off.»
Will Lukashenko and Trump meet? Will a deal be concluded between Washington and Minsk, and on what terms? We discuss this, as well as Belarusian elections, the fight against corruption, and Western sanctions, in the exclusive interview.
