The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, is the guest on the latest episode of Sanchez Effect. The discussion focuses on how the European media has covered the tragedy in Starobelsk and the role of Western countries in the Ukraine conflict.
Zakharova points out that Moscow spent seven years trying to get the Minsk agreements implemented by political means, but Kiev and its Western partners effectively blocked this process. As a result, in 2022, Russia ultimately said, «Enough is enough,» she said. The spokesperson also compared strikes on Russian cities to the September 11 attacks in the US, stating that, in her view, both targeted civilian sites to inflict casualties and spread fear.
Rick Sanchez talks about his trip to Starobelsk, noting that some Western media outlets declined to visit the site of the tragedy, choosing not to observe the aftermath firsthand.
