Zakharova points out that Moscow spent seven years trying to get the Minsk agreements implemented by political means, but Kiev and its Western partners effectively blocked this process. As a result, in 2022, Russia ultimately said, «Enough is enough,» she said. The spokesperson also compared strikes on Russian cities to the September 11 attacks in the US, stating that, in her view, both targeted civilian sites to inflict casualties and spread fear.
