Thousands of Donbass civilians that survived atrocities committed by nationalists, are now left without their families and livelihoods. They rely on courageous volunteers united from different parts of Russia, offering not only essentials but hope and affection. Volunteers from the NGO Russkiy Mir and the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation deliver tons of humanitarian aid and bring gifts to children traumatised by war. Trauma surgeons voluntarily save lives, working tirelessly and performing up to 20 surgeries a day. This documentary tells their stories and sheds light on those who prioritise compassion over personal safety.
