Robin is a German sniper. When IS fighters captured the Syrian city of Raqqa, he couldn’t just stand back and watch. So he set out to join the Kurdish militia, also known as the People’s Protection Units (YPG), and fight against the Islamic state. Together with other volunteers, he counteracted terrorism and ISIS in Syria. What happened to Robin after Raqqa was liberated? Why can’t he return to Germany?
