Back in 2009, Medni Kadyrova – the wife of Chechen Republic head Ramzan Kadyrov – launched the ‘Firdaws’ fashion house. Today, her daughter Aishat is at the helm, with designers crafting modern, comfortable clothing for Muslim women. The label’s fashion shows tour Russia, sharing her parents’ love story through the brand’s hit ‘Love Story’ collection, which wowed Paris.
The team also designs clothing for men. At Ramzan Kadyrov’s request, they developed the Murid suit, which is now the most popular style in the Chechen Republic. It’s made to strict specifications: a specific shirt length, particular pocket and cuff sizes, and tapered trousers. One of the fashion house’s most striking collaborations has been with legendary football club Akhmat. The players proudly wear the Murid suit when representing their homeland at social events.
