RT.Doc is celebrating its 15th anniversary. The channel first went on air in English back in 2011, with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev launching the broadcast. Today it has reached an audience of tens of millions. Over 2,000 documentaries have been filmed — covering global issues and personal stories, life in every corner of the planet, scientific breakthroughs and ancient traditions. The films have been translated into more than a dozen languages across the world.
