Vitaly Buzuev was born in St Petersburg. Vitaly’s mother was an artist, and his father was a polar explorer and head of the North Pole-13 station. As a child, Vitaly also wanted to be an artist. He attended the Hermitage Museum's extracurricular school for gifted children. Vitaly even received a gold medal in New York for his work. Later, Vitaly pursued journalism at Moscow State University's faculty of journalism. His career spanned various newspapers, magazines, and radio stations, including the BBC's Russian Service in London. After returning to Moscow, he joined NTV, starting with press reviews before becoming a reporter and hosting morning shows. Vitaly has been with RT Documentary since 2012. He won a major prize for his film «»Children of the Tundra«» in the national «»Country«» awards in 2013. While in 2014 his documentary «»Sky Rescue«» was awarded first prize in the All-Russian journalistic contest «»SMIrotvorets«».
