In 2011, Sudan officially split into two countries: South Sudan was recognized as a separate state. But over the years, life neither in the north nor in the south has become better. In 2013, an armed confrontation broke out there between the Dinka people and the Nuer people. This conflict has become one of the causes of mass starvation. The lack of medicines and medical care has led to massive infectious diseases. The doctors of the Red Cross mission here are heroically working on the front line in order to somehow alleviate the fate of the civilian population. Violence in the country has not stopped until now and doctors have to deal with the most unexpected cases of injuries in their practice, which cause fear and horror.
