«You fall asleep every night with the hope to simply wake up in the morning, because at any second your life could end,» says Nikita Barsukov, a cadet at the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School. During their studies, cadets bravely participated in the Special Military Operation as assault troops, scouts, and unit commanders. They all had to evacuate wounded soldiers from battle and encirclement. For their heroism, personal courage, and bravery, these young people were awarded orders and medals.
