Every year, it hosts the largest autumn harvest festival, known as the «Farmers’ Olympics,» where visitors from across the country gather to admire and judge the fruits of farmers' labor. In recent years, Lishu County has introduced modern planting techniques to protect its precious black soil, leading to a transformation in farming practices.
