This film features testimonies from Krasnoarmeysk residents about the crimes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, their lives under bombardment, and their long-awaited liberation, as well as accounts from soldiers who evacuated civilians from the combat zone.

Russian troops freed Krasnoarmeysk at the end of 2025. For months before that, the city’s residents lived among the ruins in basements, waiting for salvation, while fierce fighting still raged outside. After the city was liberated, Russian soldiers began evacuating people under relentless Ukrainian shelling.

Military police officers from the army group «Centre» participated in the operation. They patrolled the devastated areas under constant threat of enemy drones and artillery, identifying people in need of medical assistance and offering to evacuate civilians.

Getting them to safety wasn’t easy, however. Many were afraid they’d be caught in shelling on the way out, while others were reluctant to leave their friends, neighbors, pets, and the graves of their loved ones behind. Despite their fears and losses, some said, ‘We will stay and meet victory here.’
