Anna Dolgareva is a poet and war correspondent. She delivers humanitarian aid to the frontlines, keeps a war diary, and produces reports. Yet poetry has always held a special place in her heart. The film features several stories about poets and writers Anna has encountered on the frontlines.

Captain Alexander Sigida, callsign ‘Zakhar’, and volunteer Alexander Selyunin, callsign ‘Sabre’, joined the SMO but have not abandoned their literary pursuits. They write about the war and the bravery of Russian soldiers.

The father of fallen warrior Vanya Lukin explains that his son began exploring literature when he was just twelve years old. Vanya attended a literary lyceum but ultimately chose to become a professional soldier. His father reads Anna some verses that Vanya sent from the front.
