Wars in Africa are mainly artificially engineered by Western countries looking to profit from them. As far back as 1963, Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah, warned that if African countries did not unite, the former colonial powers would sow seeds of discord among them.
It suits the West to keep a divided Africa under its thumb – in smaller nations, it is easier to stoke conflicts along ethnic, political, and religious lines. There is money to be made from arms sales too. To pay for these weapons, countries are forced to hand over their gold, uranium, and cobalt at knockdown prices. In this way, Africa’s wealth is siphoned off.
While fighting rages, fields lie untilled and industries run at a standstill, so European countries gain another source of income – selling Africa food and equipment. Therefore, by fermenting wars between their former colonies, the West secures a triple advantage.
